Butterflies In My Stomach…

I have a photo session this afternoon and I already have butterflies in my stomach. The butterflies happen before each photo session and that is my sure tell sign that I'm in the right place professionally.

Over the last few years I've made some dramatic professional changes. For the past 11 years I've run a successful online business, but as with life...passions change and you have to adapt to keep soaring.

I knew awhile back that I needed a place that would allow me to express my artistic edge. Photography has always been an outlet for me, so it seemed fitting to tell you how it came about.

My Photography Journey

My photography journey started over 10 years ago. I had to learn a lot about running a successful online business and one of the most important skill sets that I learned to stand apart from others was to provide outstanding photographs for my website.

So I studied photography, I self-taught myself how to use my equipment, the styling, the software to transform the image, and everything else in between. I began blogging about photography and quickly landed on page one of Google for my helpful photography tutorials.

Photography quickly became a passion and if you haven’t noticed a pattern yet if I’m passionate about something…I GO FOR IT!

Through the years, more and more people asked me if I’d mind taking some family pictures for them. I never said no. I knew I could develop a new skill set if I’d practice and practice some more…and that’s exactly what I did.

I’m Exactly Where I Want & Need To Be

So that brings me to today. With over 10 years of photography experience photographing everything from pets, family’s, seniors, professionals, food, and natural remedies…I finally decided to start my third business, Halle Cottis Photography.

The butterflies in my stomach is the excitement building up, it's the anticipation of creating my art that tells a story, it's my artistic edge coming to the surface.

I'm exactly where I want and need to be at this moment, and that feels so good.
